Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is the term used to describe the examination of portable appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use.

Electrical Equipment Testing (EET) relates to the testing of electrical equipment that is hard-wired to mains power. “Any item for such purposes as generation, conversion, transmission, distribution or utilisation of electrical energy, such as machines, transformers, equipment, measuring instruments, protective devices, wiring systems, accessories, appliances and luminaires.” - IET Code Of Practice 2019.

Emergency Lighting organisations that fall under emergency lighting testing regulations need to follow a servicing schedule to ensure that it will perform correctly in the event of an emergency. We carry out monthly or annual testing in line with BS EN 50172 and BS 5266-8 standard.
